Here are some robin's eggs I found the other day:
When I went to spy on them the next day they were gone, yolks, shell, the whole ovum, just vanished. It's a shame the wildlife that inhabits my backyard isn't privy to the joys of poached, scrambled, sunny side up, or folded around melted cheddar. They only get raw. I wonder if animals suffer food poisoning. I'm guessing they do. (One day virulent bacteria will rule the world.) I suppose they just go off to a secluded place and keel over.
