  1. I don't have a plot of land but I have a couple pots. They do the trick. Last year I used an old trash can.

    (I never remember which end is up.)

  4. I'm trying Jerusalem artichokes this year for the first time--a good substitute for potatoes, and when they're young, they're supposed to be easier for diabetics to digest. Hope I get some (j.a.'s, not diabetics!).

  5. Oh, I should plant some. I haven't had them in so long. That's a great idea.

    The inulin instead of starch, yes, good for controlling blood glucose. But...
